As our company expands its real estate footprint globally, we are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Physical Security Design Manager to join our Corporate Security Team. This role is critical in ensuring that physical security considerations are embedded at the onset of all new real estate projects. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, architects, engineers, and external partners to design and implement robust, scalable, and compliant security solutions.

Our Team:

Within the Global Security Department, we collaborate to protect Sanofi's against all deliberate threats including to people, assets, or information across the globe. Our Team is composed of centers of expertise and a network of security people based in the different countries we operate in. We also work closely with Real Estate, Workplace Experience, Manufacturing, HSE and other key stakeholders to design safe, secure and welcoming sites.

Main responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary security design lead for all new real estate development projects worldwide.
  • Develop and review physical security design standards, ensuring alignment with company policies, industry best practices, and local regulations.
  • Participate in project planning meetings to ensure early integration of security requirements.
  • In close relationship with Country Security Head, review the threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments (TVRAs) for new sites and major renovations performed by local security team.
  • Collaborate with Site Governance, Head of Operational Excellence and Country Security Head to proactively advise on best security set-up, aligned with defined standards, including zoning.
  • Collaborate with Physical Security Systems Managers to design and specify the systems including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and perimeter protection, to enhance standardization across the sites.
  • Regularly benchmark security set-up and technologies to drive security innovation and better serve and secure our people.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Real Estate, Facilities, IT, and Legal to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings to validate security integration.
  • Support procurement and vendor selection processes for physical security equipment, systems, and services.
  • Provide technical guidance during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Maintain documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of security design processes.

About you

Experience: successful experience in physical security design (in-house or consultancy), preferably in a global or multi-site environment

Technical skills:

  • Strong knowledge of physical security: organization, set-up, equipment, technologies, and systems integration.
  • Familiarity with international building codes, fire/life safety standards, and security regulations.
  • Experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools and security design software is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as PSP (Physical Security Professional), CPP (Certified Protection Professional), or CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage project, meet deadlines, and anticipate next steps

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Languages: fluent in English
