Position Overview:

The Director of System Integrations position is a critical member of the Digital Customer Experience Technology Team and reports to the Senior Director of Salesforce and Integrations Development. This position has tactical and strategic ownership of the Global Enterprise Integration Platform. Working in a dynamic, collaborative team environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordination, and development of integration processes between various software platforms. This role owns the platform strategy, solution architecture, release, documentation, and environment management processes. This includes all development efforts for production support, new initiatives, and running a robust global platform management strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead a development staff including on-shore and off-shore resources, and a deep technical knowledge of middleware platforms such as Mulesoft, and excellent presentation skills. The candidate will access Insulet’s integration requirements, review current market trends related to middleware and non-middleware approaches, and inform Insulet’s long-term vision for data integration strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Build Enterprise API strategies Center for Enablement
  • Consider, design and create platform strategies & processes that align corporate goals
  • Manage a team of developers, analyst, consultants and offshore development partners
  • Work with team resources to provide LOE & estimates for projects
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate support activities
  • Assist internal project teams by identifying required tasks, timelines, dependencies, critical path, and resource needs
  • Hire and manage talent required to deliver continuous feature delivery and scale all functions of the platform
  • Partner with internal stakeholders like Business teams, Enterprise Architecture, Audit, Compliance, Security etc. to ensure platform meets Insulet’s standards
  • Oversee JIRA project development output, developer capacity, roadblocks and resource constraints
  • Responsible for team members career development & mentoring
  • Establish financial plan and budget for the department and manages to the plan jointly with finance and business teams

Education and Experience:

  • Overall 15+ years of experience in software development, Architecture, Design and leading/managing technical teams
  • 5+ years of experience managing an integration/middleware team
  • Deep expertise of middleware concepts including standard best practices, environment management, API integrations, general design concepts and overall ownership of Middleware platform
  • Strong understanding of API-led connectivity, REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, and integration patterns
  • Knowledge of security practices, including encryption, authentication, and API governance
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Maven, Jenkins, Gradle, Github, etc
  • Experience to the Atlassian suite (e.g. JIRA, Bitbucket, Bamboo, etc)
  • BS in an IT-related discipline such as Computer Science or equivalent experience. Advanced degree like MBA is required
  • Proven ability to lead teams of developers and manage a complex integrations environment
  • Knowledge of leadership concepts, practices and organizational change management
  • Proven ability to lead teams of developers, provide best practice coding standards and manage a complex Salesforce environment.
  • Good knowledge of other cloud platforms and SAAS applications
  • Experience supporting or working with a commercial organization, preferably in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or any other regulatory controlled industry

Preferred location is close to offices in Acton, MA or San Diego, CA.

NOTE: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements (requires on-site work from an Insulet office at least 3x/week; may work remotely other days). #LI-Hybrid

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $200,700.00 - $301,050.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
