As a Technical Product Manager, you will help shape and execute the product strategy for our Digital Menu Boards (DMB) and Drive-Thru (DT) Solutions. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—including engineering, design, operations, and external partners—to deliver seamless, data-driven customer and internal user experiences. This role requires a balance of technical acumen, user empathy, and strategic alignment with enterprise-wide priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Contribute to the product vision and roadmap for DMB and DT platforms.
  • Prioritize initiatives and define product direction in alignment with enterprise-level strategies and business goals.
  • Ensure product planning reflects both customer-facing innovation and operational efficiency.

User Experience & Design Collaboration

  • Partner closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, accessible, and efficient tools and interfaces.
  • Advocate for user-centered design by incorporating feedback into product enhancements and usability improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with engineering, design, and operations teams to define and deliver product features.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on testing, commercialization, and scalability activities.

Technical Execution

  • Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and technical specifications.
  • Manage product backlogs, prioritize features, and support agile development cycles.

Customer & Internal User Experience Optimization

  • Use data and feedback to improve both the customer-facing drive-thru experience and internal user workflows.
  • Support dynamic content delivery, personalization, and real-time menu updates.

Vendor & Partner Engagement

  • Coordinate with external vendors and partners to ensure successful integration and delivery.
  • Help influence partner roadmaps based on Coffeehouse Tech’s evolving needs.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience as a product manager in a technology-driven environment.
  • Experience working on internal-facing tools or enterprise platforms.
  • Strong technical background or experience working closely with engineering teams.
  • Proven collaboration with design teams to deliver user-centered solutions.
  • Familiarity with agile development practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
