Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Product Owner, Product Lifecycle Tools through July 10th, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (CDT).

This role is part of the Global Marketing, Service, and Technology organization and is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and continuous improvement of digital tools used by Chevron’s Chemicals and Lubricants lab technicians. This includes managing formulation tools, product lifecycle management (PLM) technologies, lab information management solutions, and ensuring all custom tools meet information risk management (IRM) and compliance standards. You will also manage vendor relationships and contribute to other to-be-determined special projects.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Own and evolve the digital product strategy for lab formulation and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools used across Chemicals and Lubricants.
  • Collaborate with other product owners in the Surface Platform to implement standard Lab Information Management Systems
  • Ensure all tools meet Chevron’s IRM, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including performance oversight, contract negotiation, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with IT, Product Technology, and other business stakeholders to ensure tools are aligned with user needs and enterprise architecture.
  • Lead the agile development and maintenance of product roadmaps, backlogs, and user stories.
  • Drive continuous improvement through user feedback, performance metrics, and emerging technology trends.
  • Support other special projects that may require customer journey mapping, process optimization, and data analysis.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in product ownership, digital product management, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of PLM systems, lab information management systems, and formulation tools.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and product features.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
  • Strong ability to drive adoption of technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the energy, chemicals, or lubricants industry.
  • Proficiency in tools such as ENOVIA by Dassault Systemes, Thermo Fisher’s SampleManager, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Certifications in Product Management
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with IRM, compliance, and data governance frameworks.
