Job Description:

The Director, Digital Governance & Operating Standards is responsible for governance execution, definition of digital business processes & standards and driving accountability to maintain the

continuity of IMSC Digital Operating Model and cross-functional adherence its framework and standards across Data, Data Science, all supply chain functions and JJT.

This role will own both the Office of Digital Product Management as well as Digital Excellence.

The Office of Digital Product Management will drive adherence to the Digital Product Management Standard via execution of cross functional sector wide governance.

Digital Excellence will own the Digital Operating model process decomposition defining key business processes & ownership across all elements of the operating model (standards, Roles & boundaries, KPIs, etc.). This role owns resolution of any execution challenges, adherence issues and also owns the evolution of the Operating Model as the digital strategy evolves.

What will be your main priorities?

Develop & execute the Digital Governance Model for Supply Chain:

  • Lead the Digital Value Chain Team as the key Supply Chain Digital Governance forum for Strategy Development, Portfolio Management and Prioritization.
  • Leverage the Value Chain Team model to balance the functional perspective with the supply chain perspective and drive trade off decisions that drive maximum Value

Lead the Supply Chain Office of Digital Product Management:

  • Develop a cross functional governance model to ensure consistency in Digital Product Management across all functions.
  • Owns DPM standards (e.g. DPM Playbook, Agile methodology, Scaled Agile Methodology, Design System).
  • Lead DPM Community of Practice to ensure DPM standards are adhered to Defines boundaries for Citizen development activities

Lead Digital Excellence for the entire Operating Model:

  • Define Business Process Decomposition for all aspect of the Digital Operating Model: Data, Technology, Strategy & Governance, Data Science.
  • Develop & Deploy Operating Standards for Key Processes (e.g. DPM Playbook, Agile methodology, Scaled Agile Methodology, Design System) in collaboration with technology partners .
  • Drive Continuous Improvement of the Digital operating model across all facets including Data, Technology, Data Science and Cross Functional Digital Produce Management.
  • Lead a Community of Practice to identify improvement opportunities & clarify/create new processes as required .

Operating Model Process & Standards Adherence:

  • Drive Supply Chain Adherence to Digital Operating Model Governance forums, processes and standards (e.g. DPM Playbook, Agile methodology, Scaled Agile Methodology, Design System).
  • Ensure that all Digital Activities across the Supply Chain are executed in alignment with process standards

Lead & manage a global team of both direct and indirect reporting relationships (Direct Organizational span of 3-5, Indirect Span of 15-20 Senior Leaders)

What are we looking for in a strong candidate?

  • 10+ years of experience in Digital IT governance, digital product management, or a related field, with a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements affecting processes, data and digital solutions in pharmaceuticals (e.g., FDA, EMA, GDPR).
  • Familiar with Industry Standards related to Data and IT management in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven experience setting up hub and spoke governance model and managing cross functional teams and projects
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data-related concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of data requirements in digital solutions
  • Good understanding of AI capabilities in digital design and development

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
