Currently, Disney is looking for an experienced, versatile, curious, charismatic, tenacious, outcome focused sales professional to lead digital advertising sales in Thailand representing a contemporary suite of advertising services across a portfolio of brands focused on connecting with Millennial’s, Millennial families, and Gen Z audiences in Disney’s digital media network. The right candidate will be passionate about media and consumer digital products and have a proven track record of delivering dynamic brand focused advertising solutions for top 100 brands across Thailand.
This person will represent:
  • Disney’s digital media network including Disney’s digital publishing platforms across owned & operated channels (Disney.com, Oh My Disney, Style, Babble, Polaris, StarWars.com and more), mobile apps and our YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and other 3rd party social and digital media platforms; and
  • Maker Studios, a leading digital short-form video and influencer network

Combined, the group extends content for Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm while creating new original properties across formats.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate credibility as an expert in online advertising with an emphasis on branded content, social platforms, video advertising, data, Influencer marketing, & mobile games.
  • Be a fan of the franchises of The Walt Disney Company and the company’s history.
  • Be knowledgeable and have sales relationships across Thailand region
  • Be responsible for the prospecting, presenting, facilitating negotiations and closings, and supporting online advertising sales
  • Be able to set goals and manage a team of commercial executives across Thailand
  • Be able to lead with ideas that demonstrate an understanding of advertising partner business objectives and the strengths of the Disney digital media network.
  • Manage all levels of advertising agency decision makers and influencers.
  • Build relationships with advertisers and ad agencies with the goal of enhancing these relationships, building new clients and opportunities, and producing revenue on a consistent, quarterly basis to meet and exceed revenue goal targets.
  • Participate in client appropriate cross-media opportunities that span business units within The Walt Disney Company.
  • Where appropriate coordinate with media networks on upfront negotiations on behalf of Disney Digital Media
  • Actively participate in industry and professional organizations
  • Demonstrate effective revenue projection management, sales reporting and customer contact management
  • Have strong respect & understanding for what success looks like in a team environment
  • Develop strong relationships throughout Disney to ensure a unified and coordinated strategy is presented in the market
  • Diplomacy, tact, negotiation and relationship building skills are essential both externally and internally.
Basic Qualifications
  • Must have 10 years of online sales experience with proven sales track record delivering brand advertising solutions
  • Must have prior experience and advertising relationships in Southeast Asia, especially Thailand
  • Established Industry relationships and successful experience with senior executives Client direct and at Agency level
  • Leadership skills & initiative
  • Must possess a working knowledge of all online metrics, technologies and research tools used in the marketplace
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Internet and online advertising plus the various platforms, creative units/executions and current competitive landscape
  • Demonstrated consultative selling, collaboration and negotiation skills
  • Extremely effective verbal and written communication skills are mandatory for this position
  • Passion for creativity; the creative drive to develop rich, dynamic, and exceptionally effective advertising strategies
  • Knowledge of sales metrics including exceeding the average deal size, average close ratio, and balance the ratio of custom to standard programs
  • Demonstrated presentation skills to large and small groups
  • Ability to synthesize ideas from group discussions and articulate them verbally and in writing
  • Ability to successfully operate within a large organization, effectively communicating with executives, interdepartmental teams and external clients
  • Adaptable in the face of constant change with ability to perform at a high level; identifying solutions when faced with challenges
