Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

The Director of Channel Operations is responsible for leading the execution and continuous improvement of the company's specialty distribution network. This individual will be the subject matter expert as it relates to channel activities, coordinating with Commercial Operations, Finance, Legal, Patient Services colleagues and other cross functional teams. This role focuses on operational implementation of pharmacy contracts, coordination of specialty pharmacy (SP) and specialty distributor (SD) partnerships for pull-through of our products, and execution of tactical distribution initiatives aligned with brand and access strategies.

The role requires a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on management of distribution programs and vendors to ensure Revolution Medicine’s products reach patients on a timely and uninterrupted access to therapy. You’ll collaborate closely with Market Access leadership, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Sciences as well as the broader Commercial organization.

This position is based out of our headquarters in Redwood City, CA.

  • Operational Oversight: Leads management of day-to-day activities execution of trade and distribution programs, resolving barriers to product fulfillment in partnership with specialty pharmacy (SP) and specialty distributor (SD) partners. This includes follow up, investigation and resolution solutions to untimely prescription fulfillment.
  • Creates and execute operational plans that seek to increase adherence, time to fill, and ultimately provide a seamless patient journey from initial prescription to dispensed product.
  • Program Implementation: Supports launch activities Drive execution of distribution-related activities for new product launches as it relates to SP strategy, channel set-up, and go-live readiness.
  • Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitors and analyze business performance fulfillment data, identify delays or inefficiencies in collaboration with the Patient Services (PS) and Business Insights teams to implement solutions.
  • Analyzes specialty pharmacy and product data to consistently communicate business metrics in support of strategic objectives.
  • Creates quarterly SP services scorecards for Channel Partner invoice evaluation and tactical discussions with Commercial Supply Leadership.
  • Vendor Management: Oversees SP and SD contractual operations, including service level performance, quarterly scorecards, invoice reconciliation, and work closely with Data Management and Business Support to ensure compliant management of invoices for channel partners data and services.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partners with Patient Support Team, Commercial Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and Business Insights on SP to align tactical operations with corporate strategy.
  • SOP Management: Develops operational SOPs, including the communication, implementation, adherence, and ongoing maintenance of those SOPs related to systems, processes, data, and reporting templates.
  • Works collaboratively with Data Aggregator and Insights team to ensure data received from our distribution partners are accurate and validated.
  • Supports and maintains a high level of communication and collaboration with key partners within the distribution network (e.g. PS, Customer Support, Supply Chain), including issue management
  • Inventory Coordination: Monitors inventory levels across SP partners the channel network to avoid stock-outs or overages.
  • Training & Enablement: Trains internal stakeholders and external customers on SP/SD operations and channel logistics.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively manages operational issues with urgency and professionalism, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
  • Ad hoc projects and initiatives as required

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
  • Minimum 6–8 years of progressive experience in working with specialty pharmacy(s) and specialty distribution partners in pharmaceuticals or biopharma
  • Experience in new product launches
  • Expertise in working directly with Specialty Pharmacy and Specialty Distributor partners
  • Deep understanding of US drug channel dynamics
  • Familiarity with key pharmaceutical data types (844/867/852) and inventory reporting and systems
  • Demonstrated success in executing operational channel programs, including product launch readiness and issue triage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience collaborating across Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Strong problem solver with experience leveraging a variety of data sources, platforms, and analytical vendors
  • Excellent organizational skills and project management capability to prioritize effectively to deliver results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Ability to represent Revolution Medicines well: strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Oral oncolytic products and integrating patient HUB services. with distribution partners
  • Exposure to oncology product commercialization preferred.
  • Experience implementing trade operations at launch stage companies.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. channel dynamics and payer landscape.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $204,000 to $255,000. Please note that base salary is one part of the overall total rewards program at RevMed, which includes competitive cash compensation, robust equity awards, strong benefits, and significant learning and development opportunities. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and/or individual performance.
