Job Overview:

The Product Manager takes responsibility for the customers experience of a specific area of the B&H website. They own and maintain the assigned area. They ensure that a customer is receiving the highest level of service from their assigned area, anywhere from landing page through checkout. The Product Manager will be working with business executives to decide priorities and provide updates. They will need to be able to work with, and incorporate feedback from, many different departments within the company that are relevant to the customer web experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Understand and articulate the pain points of customers, translating insights into a product roadmap.
  • Own and maintain a product roadmap; specifying business and technical requirements by facilitating ongoing interaction with business stakeholders and developers.
  • Collaborate with the UX, Design, and Engineering teams to ensure product goals are clearly defined, scheduled, and properly phased to facilitate timely delivery of functionality.
  • Integrate usability studies, user research, market analysis, and customer feedback into product requirements to ensure products satisfy user and business needs.
  • Define methods and metrics for identifying success and failure while ensuring the team is clear on their objectives.
  • Maintain the product backlog of priorities in close collaboration with engineering and business leaders, this includes the full scope from minor enhancements through projects.
  • Monitor the impact of product features by measuring user engagement and experience.
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of your product and its features across the company.
  • Coordinate with other product managers and designers to ensure the cohesiveness of the overall user experience.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Define and manage strategic initiatives that improve design team efficiency, passion and team excellence.
  • Strong use of analytics, user research, and business cases to provide input towards decisions and improve products.
  • Run user studies, and adjust flows until user feedback show that they were just right.
  • Facilitate meetings to drive progress against goals and objectives and establish clear next steps.
  • Support the management team with effective communication, proactive problem solving and information distribution.
  • Apply standard project management techniques to tasks and activities in order to meet documented business requirements.
  • Skilled at developing and keeping up with detailed product requirements in a fast pace. environment.
  • An entrepreneurial work style, you're a self-starter.
  • Ability to work independently and motivate and lead teams to move beyond existing practices.
  • Coordinate and organize overall design activities and keep all designers on track.
  • Strong experience in E-commerce.
  • Strong UX/UI background - Ability to define and set a product vision/direction in terms of the user experience and overall usability.
  • Experience as a designer, engineer, or analyst is a plus.
