Position Purpose:
The Security Systems Architect is responsible for the design, implementation and lifecycle management of security system technology and applications as they relate to the Corporate Security department's role. The Security Systems Architect is responsible for identifying and implementing technology and application solution designs and delivering cost-effective business solutions based on industry best practice standards and research. This position is also responsible for mentoring and training other associates in the proper use and repair of these security technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- 30% Translates business requirements using complex methods and models to develop solutions.
- 30% Research, identify, test, certify, select, install and maintain security technology products
- 10% Provide input into annual budget planning as well as project budget planning
- 30% Mentor and train other associates in the use, troubleshooting and repair of security technologies
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Typically reports to a Manager or Senior Manager
- No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience
- In-depth experence working with large, complex physical security technologies (both hardware and software)
- Georgia low-voltage unrestricted license
Minimum Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
