What You Will Be Doing

Help drive mission success by supporting critical sustainment operations for some of the world’s most advanced aircraft. As an Items Analyst Associate, you will play a key role in managing the lifecycle of sustainment kits and materials, ensuring timely delivery and configuration accuracy for both domestic and international customers. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, early-career professional ready to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced aerospace environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of kit management operations across the full lifecycle—from sales order placement and kit accumulation to delivery and customer acceptance (DD250).
  • Monitor and manage cost, schedule, and technical performance for assigned change requests (CRs), ensuring alignment with contract requirements.
  • Analyze supply data and forecasts to support accurate demand planning and inventory control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of engineering design changes and field configuration updates.
  • Support configuration management activities and maintain data integrity across multiple systems.
  • Help identify risks to material delivery and kit accuracy, supporting mitigation plans and recovery efforts as needed.
  • Utilize SAP and other enterprise tools to manage sales orders, track material flow, and monitor performance metrics.
  • Contribute to performance management, proposal development, and cost estimating through earned value management principles and other business practices.

Must be a US Citizen

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or 4 years experience in the absence of a Bachelors Degree
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications

Desired Skills:

  • Desired interest in building a career within Supply Chain Management and Logistics.
  • Ability to grasp operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as a liaison between program/ project management, contracts, functional and/or support teams
  • Excellent verbal, written, and telecommuting communication skills and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Project, Visio, Access, SharePoint, and Tableau
  • Previous experience with Kit Management or Supply Operations
  • Understanding of U.S. Department of Defense projects and experience with both domestic and international suppliers

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
