Bring your talent to Raytheon and the Advanced Products Center (APC) manufacturing facility in McKinney, Texas. We have a high visibility opportunity for a Value Stream Manager in our Radio Frequency Microelectronics factory. Take on full accountability for the safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance of a multi-cell/multi-shift operation.

The Value Stream Manager (VSM) will report to the Factory Operations Manager and be accountable for the daily management and direction of a team which could include Cell Leaders and Production Operators. The VSM will be tasked to generate, maintain, and execute clear operational schedules, priorities, goals while collaborating with functional management to allow for continuous manufacturing.

This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas. The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in both manufacturing and technical leadership roles.

This position is an onsite role with the following shift schedule/hours:

Friday- 10am-6pm

Saturday/Sunday- 6am-6pm

Monday- 10am-6pm

What You Will Do

  • Direct supervision of Cell Leaders and responsibility for 60+ production operators.
  • Collaborate and communicate with upstream and downstream VSMs and leadership.
  • Utilization of knowledge of manufacturing principles, manufacturing support team roles and responsibilities and manufacturing systems in support of initiatives, projects, improvements, and efforts.
  • Personnel performance input for all related functions and career development of team members including coaching and mentoring.
  • Perform a wide variety of sequencing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, failure triage support and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow.
  • Strategic planning development for short term execution as well as long range planning.
  • Define and Execute priorities relating to safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Interact with support engineering, supply chain, and quality with respect to program schedules.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Previous experience leading a direct team with specific deadlines, requirements, or deliverables.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and industrial engineering practices
  • Knowledge of quality requirements relating to manufacturing environments
  • Superior communication skills
  • Understanding of sequencing for fabrication, assembly, installation, testing and other manufacturing operations in relation to similar type of products or processes

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
