What You Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Engineering is seeking a Senior IPT lead for the Geared Turbo Fan (GTF) programs supporting the future of the PW Commercial engine business for decades to come. In this role you will be responsible for leading the integrated team of discipline specialists through the design, delivery, and validation of the Mid Turbine Frame (MTF) to meet requirements. Strong leadership, technical acumen, resource planning, and industrial experience will be critical to bringing these new and novel designs through validation on schedule to meet the customer requirements.
Sr. IPT Lead (P5) will have scope of all Mid Turbine Frame designs for GTF engine programs (PW1500/1900, PW1100G, GTFA) including technical integration, delivery, and validation, with a team supporting as needed for part-level responsibility. As a Sr. IPT Lead, the role will have responsibility to integrate and a multi-disciplinary team to execute integrated product development (IPD) to support the MTF CIPT. These are extremely challenging parts in the module, that have required new and novel design approaches to meet technical metrics of the GTF applications. Both breadth and knowledge in several disciplines will be required in this role to lead the technical decision making for an integrated design that meets requirements on schedule and on budget.
Candidates that have the experience appropriate for an IPT Lead (P4) will also be considered with a modified scope to have IPT lead responsibility over a portion of the MTF designs, shared with other IPT leads in the CIPT.
Location: Position is based in PW East Hartford, CT (EH). Team is primarily located in PWEH. Integration is required with IEC as well as partners located in Europe and Asia.

Hot Section Engineering (HSE)
Hot Section Engineering is responsible for the design, development, technology maturation and in service support of all diffuser cases, combustors, turbines (vanes, blades, rotors and cases), augmenters (military), nozzles and associated fuel systems for all military, commercial and industrial engine models and radial auxiliary power units.
Technical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Durability and Product Definition.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
