Job Description:

Join us as a Synthetics Lab systems integrator and play a pivotal role in shaping our lab systems within the synthetics development organization, with a focus on analytical labs. Your role will be incremental in shaping a system agnostic strategy for maximizing the capturing of raw, reportable data at the source of the lab activities. In doing so, you will be the driving force to unlock the power of data across different labs.

You will aim to progress the digitalization of the labs through means of simple, effective to complex data workflows tailored to the needs of bench scientist and analytical activity but respecting the FAIR data requirements regarding downstream use. Your role will accelerate the impact of data through the various lab systems and digital solutions at hand for capturing data. Your focus will be to design, build (or coordinate), and maintain a configurable, compliant and quality centric lab system workflow that enables scientists to harness technology optimally in their product research across different teams.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Define, shape and drive a synthetic lab system strategy enabling data capture in collaboration with local functional synthetic data leaders and TDS DIPT, and JJT.
  • Align and prioritize lab requirements towards the appropriate technology and support change management where needed with use of in-depth understanding of both workflow requirements and systems capability.
  • Develop and own roadmaps for deployment of system capabilities in the labs, representing the needs and priorities of the asset portfolio and lab leadership in collaboration with technical and business application owners
  • Lead and collaborate with various analytical domain specialists and key user and the user community to understand technical problems, solutions and platform requirements and help enable the delivery of end-to-end data centric and quality centric solutions
  • Business application ownership of local TDS-synthetic or co-owned TDS lab systems as appropriate in collaboration with TDS-DIPT (like Biovia ONELAB, Agilent OPENLAB, …) and TDS-BIOTD

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s or bachelor's degree in Analytical science, Lab technology or a related relevant field with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience required in pharmaceutical industry

Required:

  • Relevant knowledge of strategic lab systems used in synthetics development: Biovia onelab , Agilent OPENLAB or equivalent products (relevant hands-on experience is a plus)
  • Analytical problem solver with a passion and proficiency in lab systems and lab technology
  • Ability to integrate processes and systems design and drive change as required to overcome limitations and roadblocks
  • Strong knowledge and affinity with the business processes of the various labs within synthetics.
  • Quality mindset and experience in working in a regulated GMP environment
  • Strong knowledge of data integrity principles and requirements
  • Proficiency and record of supporting, optimizing, and debugging sophisticated software products
  • An ability to lead and a record of effective collaboration with diverse team members, external vendors, etc...

Preferred:

  • Relevant knowledge of Water’s Empower, Labvantage LIMS, Chromeleon, Virscidean Analytical Studio.
  • Relevant hands-on experience in lab workflows as analist, reviewer or labsupervisor
  • Proficiency in interrogating raw system data through SQL and other tools
