ServiceMax Tester
Johnson Controls is searching for a ServiceMax Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing the functionality, configuration, and integration of the ServiceMax platform within our field service management ecosystem. You will work closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all ServiceMax features are functioning as expected and meeting business needs.
What you will do
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing of ServiceMax configurations and customizations.
- Test various ServiceMax modules including Work Orders, Entitlements, Installed Base, Preventive Maintenance, and Dispatch Console.
- Collaborate with business analysts and functional teams to understand the business requirements and ensure the solution meets those needs.
- Write and execute test cases for different phases of the project, including unit testing, system testing, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
- Validate and test ServiceMax-ERPs integration, ensuring seamless data flow between systems.
- Create detailed test cases, test scripts, and test plans based on functional requirements and system specifications.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of test results, issues found, and steps taken to resolve defects.
How you will do it
- Document and track defects in bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira) and work with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Report test results, identify potential risks, and assist with defect prioritization.
- Collaborate with business users during UAT, ensuring that the field service application aligns with their needs and performs as expected.
- Provide feedback on testing processes and work to continually improve testing efficiency.
- Stay updated on the latest ServiceMax features, releases, and best practices to ensure testing stays relevant and comprehensive.
What we look for
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in QA or testing roles, with hands-on experience testing ServiceMax or Salesforce applications.
- Strong understanding of ServiceMax functionality and field service management processes.
- Experience with writing and executing test cases, and tracking defects using tools like Jira.
- Familiarity with Salesforce platform (Apex, SOQL, Lightning) and its integration with ServiceMax.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and business teams.
Preferred:
- ServiceMax Certified Administrator or Developer (or equivalent experience).
- Salesforce Certified Administrator or Platform Developer I.
- Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Panaya, or similar) is a plus.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Previous experience in testing field service management solutions or similar software
