Job Description & Summary: A career within….
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Design:
o Develop and articulate a comprehensive Splunk architecture strategy that aligns with business objectives.
o Design and oversee the implementation of Splunk infrastructure, including data ingestion, processing, and visualization layers.
o Evaluate and recommend architecture changes to improve scalability, performance, and security.
2. Leadership and Collaboration:
o Lead a team of Splunk administrators and engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership.
o Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, security, operations, and business units to identify opportunities for leveraging Splunk.
o Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to ensure efficient data integration and utilization.
3. System Optimization and Innovation:
o Drive ongoing optimization efforts to enhance Splunk performance and reduce costs.
o Stay abreast of emerging Splunk technologies and features,
recommending innovative solutions to enhance capabilities.
o Implement best practices for data modeling, indexing, and search efficiency. 4. Data Architecture and Integration:
o Architect and manage robust data pipelines to ensure the seamless flow of information into Splunk.
o Work with teams to integrate new data sources and streamline data collection processes.
o Design scalable solutions for log management, event processing, and real-time analytics.
5. Security and Compliance:
o Ensure the Splunk environment adheres to security policies and compliance standards.
o Collaborate with security teams to proactively identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities or risks.
o Develop strategies for using Splunk in incident detection and response.
6. Performance Management and Troubleshooting:
o Conduct regular performance assessments and implement tuning measures. o Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex Splunk-related issues and guide teams in resolution activities.
o Optimize search queries, dashboards, and reports for faster insights and decision-making.
7. Training and Documentation:
o Lead the creation and maintenance of detailed documentation on Splunk architecture, configuration, and policies.
o Promote knowledge sharing through workshops and training sessions for administrators, users, and stakeholders.
o Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the Splunk team.
8. Project Management and Execution:
o Manage multiple Splunk-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
o Coordinate with project managers to align on priorities, resources, and milestones.
o Track progress and report on key performance metrics to senior leadership.
