Job Description:
At Regions, the Product Manager assists in the development, execution, and tracking of marketing or business segments programs for a product or product line by collecting, analyzing, and reporting marketing and sales performance data.
Primary Responsibilities
- Strategizes promotional, marketing, and communication programs for all specified products and services as well as produce standard management reporting
- Researches and compiles business and industry competitive data to analyze and develop tactics to achieve strategic goals
- Manages sales information, projections, and other meaningful data and prepares forecasts on market evolution and company products
- Leads the executions of marketing strategies including advertising, packaging, pricing, expense budgets, profit plans, and future product development
- Provides short term and long term strategic direction
- Prepares and/or provides guidance in the preparation and delivery of training and sales tools
- Acts as the subject matter expert, point of contact, and lead of special projects pertaining to specified products and services
- Understands industry research around customer behaviors, new product offerings, new providers, and regulatory impacts while keeping business unit and product development heads informed
- Manages vendor relationships including responding and sending requests, managing risks, and ensuring compliance adherence
- Leads risk management efforts throughout the life cycle of each product, ensuring proper risk controls and monitoring, and compliance with regulatory risk and operational risk
- Develops products and enhances services to remain competitive in the marketplace while ensuring adherence to all of Regions’ compliance and regulatory standard
- Collaborates with sales teams to identify and implement sales tactics as well as partner with cross-functional teams to execute strategies
- Acts as a lead and mentor of the department
- Creates and delivers presentations to senior leadership
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Consumer Payment Product Manager
The Consumer Payment Product Manager will oversee the end-to-end management of our consumer payments and debit card product suite. This leader will be responsible for driving growth, innovation, operational performance, and risk management across all consumer payment channels.
This role is critical to delivering seamless, secure, and competitive payment experiences to our retail customers. The ideal candidate brings deep domain expertise in retail banking payments, proven leadership experience, and the ability to connect product strategy to business outcomes.
A successful candidate should:
Possess a unique mix of business and technical savvy, a passion for consumer payments, customer evangelism, curiosity, a big-picture orientation, and the ability to be a self-starter to drive the ideas to reality.
Be highly strategic with deep banking product knowledge, execution experience in payments, and a proven ability to work cross-functionally to deliver results.
Effectively partner with functional areas including strategy, finance, digital, account servicing, operations, risk, fraud, compliance, data analysis, technology, and other partners across the account lifecycle.
Be highly collaborative and comfortable leading in ambiguous environments, building support and taking ownership of initiatives and product improvements.
Be comfortable overseeing macro-level views, while diving into the details, identifying gaps, pain points and areas of opportunity through process evaluation and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Development
Drive development and execution of the strategic roadmap for consumer payments, including inbound and outbound money movement and debit card services.
Align and integrate product roadmaps into a cohesive payments strategy that supports customer needs and drives business growth.
Identify and prioritize new payment capabilities through business case development, market evaluation, and vendor engagement.
Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, regulatory changes, and customer behavior to inform product direction.
Lead collaboration with cross-functional partners (e.g., Digital, Tech, Risk, Fraud, Operations) to ensure timely, aligned execution and issue resolution.
Lead strategic modernization of the debit processing infrastructure to reduce risk and fraud, expand functionality, and support future-ready payment capabilities.
Payment Product Lifecycle Management & Experience
Oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of Consumer payment products and debit cards, from design and development to ongoing enhancements and issue management.
Partner across teams to improve digital and in-branch payment experiences, streamline journeys, and eliminate friction points.
Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring strong performance, risk compliance, and alignment with business priorities.
Drive the implementation of controls and processes that mitigate operational, fraud, and compliance risk.
Performance Management
Track and analyze key performance indicators including customer adoption, transaction usage, product profitability, and operational KPIs.
Monitor payments and product performance, including transaction growth, customer behaviors, and profitability metrics.
Utilize data analytics to make informed decisions and recommend actionable insights.
Prepare and present business cases and product performance updates to stakeholders.
Partner with Finance to develop performance forecasts, track results, and provide insights that guide business decisions.
Create and speak to reporting that enables leadership visibility into performance drivers.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
10+ years of experience in financial services, with at least 5 in a payments related field.
Proven track record of managing consumer banking products and/or payments, ideally with direct experience in debit card or digital or emerging payment product portfolios.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of the financial services industry, customer behavior, and market dynamics.
Demonstrated genuine interest in the payments space, with curiosity about emerging trends, technologies, and evolving customer expectations.
Expertise in payment systems (card networks, ACH, digital wallets, RTP, Open Banking)
Demonstrated success in driving product growth, optimizing cost and delivering customer value.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to banking products and payments.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire others.
Analytical mindset with expertise in using data and analytics to drive decision-making.
Financial Analysis and forecasting knowledge with P&L ownership experience
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
