Job Description

As an Assembly & Test Technician – Repair & Overhaul – Level 3 here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and testing of cutting-edge aerospace products. Your expertise will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability, contributing to the success of our operations.

You will report directly to our ISC Operations Manager, and you’ll work out of our Mississauga, ON location on an on-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our assembly and testing processes, ensuring that our aerospace products are delivered on time and meet all quality standards.

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Performs manual assembly, operation of automated assembly equipment, hand soldering, operation of automated test equipment, and inspection and repair of products.
  • In addition will perform machine and line setups, feeder repairs and first line preventative maintenance.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, testing and repairing electronic equipment
  • Document and maintain accurate records of assembly and test results to ensure compliance with quality standards. Ability to set up, operate, calibrate and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and to address those problems.
  • Knowledge of in-circuit and functional test fixturing.
  • Knowledge of computer applications- SAP, Microsoft and Documentation control systems.
  • Follow standardized work instructions and procedures to ensure product quality and reliability
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members and lead the team to high quality production within tight deadlines.

Qualifications

Must have

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in electronics / Avionics experience.
  • Completed post secondary education in electrical or electronics engineering technology, computer engineering technology, telecommunications technology or an equivalent.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must possess specific certifications as defined by site operations.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of board assembly process and product process flow.
  • In-depth knowledge of product quality, soldering specifications and SMT processing systems.
