Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the organization’s vision and strategic direction. Each day, you will apply IT knowledge and expertise to help solve complex technical or professional activities. You will also showcase your expertise by being a key resource, a definitive source of knowledge about services and solutions, to contribute your expertise to enhance organizational efficiency.

The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-onsite

This role is contributing to the country IS function in South Korea. Main stakeholders are ABB Korea employees.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Involving and proactively supporting the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of the service for your area of responsibility and cross-functional processes related to Information Systems services.
• Manage local retained IT infrastructure including servers and network within the country.
• Identifying, consolidating, and reporting any inefficiencies or improvement opportunities.
• Reviewing requirements and specifications and identifying those that require action within your scope of responsibility.
• Installing and testing new versions and investigating and coordinating the resolution of potential and actual service problems.

Qualifications for the role

• Over 3 years of experience in managing servers and network and experience working in an IT infrastructure related position
• Sound knowledge of server and network management and IT project management experience is preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Window, SQL servers and Cisco products
• Ability to manage multiple demands on time, working with cross-functional, virtual, and international teams
• A collaborative, solutions, and customer service-oriented approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
• A degree with major in Computer Science or any equivalent qualification
• Fluency in business level Korean and English both verbal and written
