As supply chains grow in complexity, the ability to optimize the end-to-end supply network becomes increasingly critical. FMC’s Center of Excellence and Expertise (COE&E) is a global team that is advancing the Integrated Supply Chain’s capabilities through process simplification, data and insights and digital innovation. As a member of the COE&E, the Integrated Supply Chain Global Network Modeler is a dedicated expert tasked with providing the data and insights to support key decisions on improving supply chain resiliency, efficiency and profitability.
The primary responsibility of this role is to build, maintain and evolve advanced optimization models to support strategic and tactical decisions across the network. This role will work cross-functionality with procurement, manufacturing, supply chain planning, logistics, IT, and finance to deliver data-driven insights and actionable recommendations. Additionally, this role is the owner of the supply and financial flows governance including managing new and exception changes to the network.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop end-to-end supply chain models using Coupa Supply Chain Guru
Conduct network design and optimization studies, including capacity planning, transportation optimization and site rationalization
Model inventory and service trade-offs to improve working capital and customer satisfaction
Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate business risks and opportunities from raw material disruptions, demand changes etc.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input assumptions and understand business processes
Integrate outputs with Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to inform planning decisions
Quantify trade-offs between cost, service and risk across the network
Partner with IT and data science teams to access and transform supply chain data for modeling purposes
Communicate insights and recommendations to leadership in a clear and business-relevant manner
Owner of global supply and financial flows including maintaining up to date flow documentation and giving guidance on new and exception changes to the network
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations research, applied mathematics, supply chain or related field.
Qualifications:
Experience:
5+ years of experience in a network modeling, supply chain planning or analyst role
Extensive knowledge of supply chain concepts such as forecasting, inventory planning, optimization and logistics
Experience with scenario modeling and cost-to-serve analysis
Experience leading and managing small projects
Demonstrated experience working with global cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated experience with advanced analytical or optimization modeling tools such as Supply Chain Guru, Python, R, SQL etc
