JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: HIPPY Testing Facilitator & Data Analyst

WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Nonexempt

FUNDING SOURCE: Title 1

REPORTS TO: HIPPY/ECE Coordinator

PAY GRADE: Paraprofessional 040 (210 Days)

DEPARTMENT: Finance, State/Federal Programs

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To coordinate the required assessments of students participating in the Home Instruction of Parents of Preschool Youngsters program. Provide appropriate training and support to home instructors; plans and coordinates assessments services; assists in development, and implementation of procedures, goals and objectives; updates and analyzes assessment data.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education/Certification:

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate
  • Associates degree (preferred)
  • 2 to 4 years of related work experience (preferred), a combination of education and experience may be substituted for the degree
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License

Minimum Experience:

  • Experience working with children, parents, and campus personnel
  • Experience with student testing with bracken, PICCOLO, ASQ-3 and ASQ SE (preferred)
  • Experience using web based-data tracking system (Visit Tracker)
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of related work experience

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  1. Oversee assessment procedures for the home instruction program
  2. Provide training to home instructors on the administration of HIPPY TX and HIPPY International approved assessments
  3. Provide accurate record of the assessment results utilizing web-based data tracking system
  4. Maintain confidentiality of all information obtained in the HIPP/HIEPE program
  5. Maintain inventory of testing materials and supplies
  6. Stay abreast of any testing changes made statewide or nationwide
  7. Assist with any data input assignments as directed by supervisor
  8. Attend trainings on the administration of bracken, PICCOLO, ASQ-3 and ASQ-SE
  9. Communicate assessment results to parents and provide referrals as needed
  10. Keep informed of and comply with HIPPY TX and International HIPPY Network policies as they apply to the work of home instructors and data entry
  11. Meet with Regional Field Operations Specialist to support initiatives for data integrity and normalization
  12. Generate reports to analyze data to identify discrepancies and communicate corrections to home instructors and other program personnel
  13. Assist with the preparation of statistical reports for the development and submission of quarterly reports
  14. Plans and facilitates the installation and maintenance of computer hardware, software and other equipment and supplies. Establishes procedures to protect departmental assets.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environnemental Factors: Must maintain emotional control and exercise reasoning and problem solving skills while under stress. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written). Should be able to interpret procedures and analyze data for decision-making. Frequent in-district and occasional in-state or national travel. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours.

Safety: Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidences immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety.
