THE OPPORTUNITY

Perform the general activities pertinent to the department by having a working knowledge of equipment and procedures pertaining to the function assigned. This individual should possess knowledge and skills with complex processes or demonstrate the ability to learn highly technical complex processes. The Energy Center Engineer will be dedicated to learning the fundamentals of energy center operation and maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner, reporting accidents/incidents and adhering to all corporate/division/plant policies
  • Equipment operation – efficiently and reliably
  • Equipment maintenance - troubleshooting and repair (daily rounds)
  • Supporting Infrastructure – piping, pumps, valves, motors, steam traps, steam pushers
  • Monitoring and responding to process deviations
  • Preventative and Demand Maintenance Execution
  • Lock out tag out and safety compliance
  • Sanitization and organization
  • Compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP)
  • Capital Project Support and Execution
  • Equipment in scope of responsibility:
  • Boilers, Air Compressors & Dryers, Refrigerant Chillers
  • Ammonia Compressors, Condensers, Chill plates
  • Reverse Osmosis Systems / Ingredient Water, Carbon Filtration System
  • Waste Water Treatment/PH neutralization system
  • Critical HVAC Units
  • Fire system

SHIFT

2nd of 3rd Shift - 8 hrs

PAY

$35/hour, plus 5% shift differential for any hours worked between 3:00p – 7:00am

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Two years work experience working with industrial utilities systems or industrial electrical/mechanical systems
  • Licensed boiler operator
  • Reading, writing and mathematical skills are a prerequisite for this job.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active State of Ohio 3rd Class Stationary Engineers license (SSE). Must be able to provide proof of this license.
  • Prior job experience within a manufacturing plant environment is desired. Previous experiences with FDA, cGMP or working in a highly regulated industry is preferred.
  • Experience with self-directing teams, lean manufacturing concepts and statistical process management, is highly desired.

  • Small project (less than $50,000) execution
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritional’s is beneficial.
