NSF is looking to add experienced Chemistry Scientists II, to our HPLC Group. Persons with good lab skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. a TLC background is bonus in this role. We are seeking team members who are shift flexible but expected to be 3:00pm-11:30pm Monday-Friday on site in our Ann Arbor, Michigan Labs.

  • Previous experience with HPLC or Dissolution testing and method validation preferred.
  • Perform analytical laboratory procedures following defined processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform basic instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Follow quality and documentation requirements for all laboratory work.
  • Follow all safety and ethics requirements.
  • Knowledge of routine operation, maintenance, and theory of analytical instrumentation, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Demonstrates excellent manual dexterity skills, allowing for precise and accurate work.
  • Exhibits strong written and oral communication skills, facilitating effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Displays exceptional time management and project management skills, ensuring efficient completion of tasks.
  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, enabling the identification and resolution of issues.
  • Capable of cross-training on sample preparation techniques with another laboratory group, enhancing versatility and collaboration.
  • Thrives in a collaborative work environment, actively contributing to a cohesive and productive team.

  • BS/BA in a directly related science field or an equivalent combination of experience and coursework.
  • 1 to 5 years of related experience in an analytical testing laboratory.
  • Knowledge of standard lab procedures and instrumentation including HPLC and/or Ion Chromatography.
  • Able to work well in a production team environment with strong organizational skills.
  • Consistent attention to detail and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Computer skills with laboratory LIMS and instrumentation software.
