Who We’re Looking For (Position Overview):

Spry is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented an A/V Technician to support one of our National Security Clients. This position is essential in delivering secure, high-quality audiovisual (A/V) and video teleconferencing (VTC) capabilities.

As an A/V Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of complex AV systems, ensuring seamless video streaming and recording for mission-critical operations. Your role directly contributes to the customers ability to communicate securely and effectively across classified and unclassified domains.

What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot a variety of A/V and VTC systems, including projectors, video walls, digital encoders/decoders, audio mixers, microphones, and cameras.
  • Operate and monitor video streaming platforms in both classified and unclassified environments.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on AV equipment and supporting infrastructure.
  • Assist with editing of audio and video content to meet operational needs.
  • Evaluate new audio-visual technologies and make recommendations for upgrades or replacements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to support the design, installation, and configuration of new AV systems.
  • Maintain system documentation and asset tracking related to AV equipment.
  • Monitor AV systems' health using specialized software tools and resolve issues proactively.

What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Electronics, Communications, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with professional AV systems in secure or mission-driven environments.
  • In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level
  • Strong knowledge of audio-visual hardware, VTC technologies, video codecs, IP-based streaming, and networking fundamentals.
  • Proficiency with AV control systems and AV software tools.
  • Experience working in a Zero Trust or highly secure environment.
  • Ability to independently assess technical issues and implement solutions.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship and active Top Secret clearance.

Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience with secure video streaming solutions and classified communications systems.
  • Experience supporting AV operations in federal government or DoD agencies.
