Overview
The Revenue Integrity Coder collaborates with various departments within the organization - Health Information Management, Revenue Cycle, Patient Access, Case Management. Understanding of the Chargemaster assists to streamline processes. Addresses claim edits daily related to NCDs, LCDs, CCI edits, Medicare and various payer guidelines. Maintains a vast knowledge of coding rules/regulations surrounding ICD-10-CM/PCS, DRGs, APCs, CPT, HCPCS. Utilizes AHA Coding Clinic, AMA CPT Assistant, AHA Coding Clinic for HCPCS, and Payer Specific Billing Guidelines. Applies E&M level services. Works efficiently within EPIC, 3M applications, NThrive.
