Position Overview:

As a Yard Associate, you’ll play a hands-on role in day-to-day operations—ensuring orders are loaded accurately, the yard remains organized, and customers receive exceptional service. Key Responsibilities:

• Material Handling & Preparation: Cut and package materials based on customer needs.
• Loading & Unloading: Load customer and company vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Inventory Accuracy: Maintain clear, accurate records and inspect incoming materials for quality.
• Yard & Warehouse Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris.
• Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and responsibly.
• Customer Assistance: Assist customers with loading and unloading while ensuring a positive experience.
• Merchandise Management: Stock, organize, and pull inventory as needed.
• Safety & Reporting: Perform daily equipment checks, report hazards, and document any safety issues promptly.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma preferred, but not required

Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or industry is a plus

Skills & Traits:

• Familiarity with building materials and related products
• Forklift and hand truck experience preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Friendly, reliable, and customer-focused
