Position Overview

The Site Director, Exact Sciences Operations – Poland will drive the overall operations and strategic direction of the Exact Sciences center in Poland, ensuring seamless and efficient delivery of cross-functional services that align with global business objectives. This leader will oversee multiple operational functions, including Finance, HR, IT, Procurement, and more, while ensuring operational excellence, transformation, and continuous improvement in a rapidly evolving business environment. As a key part of Exact Sciences’ global strategy, this role will foster a high-performance culture, driving innovation, process optimization, and scalable solutions for the enterprise.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead end-to-end service delivery across all supported functions (e.g., Finance, HR, IT, Procurement), ensuring alignment with Exact Sciences’ operational goals and industry-leading standards.
  • Champion operational excellence by driving efficiency, service quality, and productivity improvements within the local site.
  • Ensure compliance with Exact Sciences’ internal policies, global regulatory requirements, and service-level agreements (SLAs), maintaining high standards of governance.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a diverse, high-performing team, with a focus on talent development, engagement, and retention. Champion Poland as an attractive workplace for top-tier talent and a showcase for Exact Sciences’ global brand and mission (participate in Chamber events, industry events, etc.).
  • Acting as legal representative, as determined by the company
  • Acting as leader for the Polish site, as guided by the security protocol and company's business continuity plan.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative work culture that encourages cross-functional partnerships and problem-solving.
  • Lead all operational and administrative processes associated with to the Poland site, including driving resource allocation, capacity planning, and succession planning, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and future needs.
  • Manage team performance through effective delegation, feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to build a motivated, skilled workforce.
  • Exemplify leadership qualities, including integrity, accountability, transparency, and a forward-thinking vision, to motivate teams toward achieving business objectives.

  • Effectively manage, support, and guide your team, including, but not limited to delegating tasks and responsibilities, assess employee performance and provide helpful feedback and training opportunities.
  • Act as a role model for inclusion and diversity, consistently demonstrating and advocating for inclusive leadership behaviors.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of Exact Sciences’ operations, aligning the local site with global priorities and ensuring business needs are met with scalable solutions.
  • Lead and drive local transformation initiatives, focusing on process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement, to support Exact Sciences’ global transformation efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with global process owners and business stakeholders to ensure consistency, scalability, and alignment across regions and functions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal business units and regional stakeholders, ensuring the site meets their needs and strategic goals, including coordination of activities across stakeholders to ensure information prepared is relevant and thorough.
  • Proactively manage escalations, driving customer satisfaction through effective communication, service excellence, and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Lead risk management efforts by ensuring robust internal controls and compliance processes are in place and adhered to.
  • Monitor and manage performance against compliance requirements, corporate standards, and risk mitigation strategies, continuously identifying areas for improvements.
  • Oversee the site’s operating budget, ensuring financial performance aligns with targets and organizational goals.
  • Drive cost efficiency initiatives, deliver on cost-saving targets, and optimize the use of resources to achieve financial goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-functional teams in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Experience in driving transformation initiatives, including process automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement.
  • 10+ years of experience in shared services, operations, or business transformation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of operational excellence, service delivery models, and global business service principles and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and optimize end-to-end service delivery across multiple functions (e.g., finance, HR, IT, procurement).
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with experience in motivating, developing, and retaining high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leaders across regions.
  • Experience in navigating transformation and driving alignment between local and global teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, drive operational efficiencies, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Knowledge of risk management, compliance frameworks, and internal control processes to ensure adherence to corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in Poland without sponsorship.
  • Fluency in Polish and English; proficiency in any other EU languages is a plus.
