As a Sr. Program Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving key investments and cost-saving opportunities within Nordstrom Store Operations, setting the standard for our future operating philosophy.
This role primarily focuses on establishing the framework and implementing cost-saving initiatives related to retail store commodities. Additionally, you may support other fulfillment and delivery program initiatives. You will manage complexity by employing structured and lean-six sigma problem-solving techniques while collaborating with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders.
A day in the life…
- Drive and own a highly complex, highly cross-functional, project using standardized processes and methodology
- Develop and drive adherence to project/program reporting structure across leaders at all levels of the organization
- Responsible for the delivery of a program to the specification across all internal and external partners.
- Translate delivery milestones and budget details aligned to scope from supporting partners into a single managed integrated view to achieve program objectives and maintain program discipline
- Develop framework, in partnership with finance and operations, to ensure financial outcomes are achieved. Examples include:
- Create program updates across multiple leadership levels and stakeholders
- Collaborate with creative teams to ensure budgetary adherence and financial accountability.
- Validate and analyze forecasts to ensure accuracy and reliability in financial planning.
- Monitor usage across stores to avoid storage fees and manage inventory ownership effectively.
- Create and approve purchase orders, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for store readiness, toolkits, and scaled events.
- Handle escalations promptly and efficiently to resolve issues and maintain operational continuity.
- Conduct QA testing, including color bleed testing, to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Provide broad support for supplies, including corrugate, gift packaging, shoppers, and more.
- Develop and manage financial plans, store budget plans, and the procurement planning cycle.
- Lead and coordinate end-to-end communications to ensure clarity and alignment across all stakeholders.
- Assess, manage, resolve and escalate risks and issues. Facilitate communication clearly and concisely across stakeholder teams, providing transparency to milestones and needs
- Ensure program framework, governance, KPI’s, business objectives/success measures are achieved to sustain and scale.
- Deliver/continuously improve standardized project documentation, template, framework to support implementations
- This position may be required to perform other related duties as assigned -e.g., engineering analysis, layouts, etc.
- Travel required 25%+
You own this if you have…
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive project management and project execution experience. This position requires a high degree of project execution knowledge
- Unique ability to review and accept complete cross functional requirements and manage delivery to those requirements with internal and external partners to drive financial results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with and influence leaders at all levels
- Store Operations expertise in retail or consumer goods preferred, with some experience in commodities and industry dynamics
- Ideally certified in project management disciplines (Project Management Professional – PMP) or demonstrated like experiences
- Superior organizational and problem-solving skill

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations.
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
$103,500.00 - $175,000.00 Annual
This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
