The Digital and Technology team at General Mills stands as the largest and foremost unit, dedicated to exploring the latest trends and innovations in technology while leading the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across the organization. Collaborating closely with global business teams, the focus is on understanding business models and identifying opportunities to leverage technology for increased efficiency and disruption. Purpose of the role

The Digital and Technology team of General Mills India Centre is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to contribute to the Global Digital Transformation initiative at General Mills in capacity of a Technical Engineer II.

The SAP Technical Engineer II is responsible for custom developments and should be able to work on development tasks independently across GMI eco system, convert functional requirement into technical specification and implement complex solutions under guidance of tech lead/architects in a project. This individual should be possessing good understanding of SAP best practices and should be able to help the team in maintaining the same.

Individual will be a highly motivated thinker & collaborator in transforming the SAP Development processes and development practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education – Full time graduation from an accredited university
  • The Individual should have a deep technical understanding on Core ABAP, PI, ALE/IDOC, Workflow, Layouts, UI/UX etc.
  • The individual should have deep functional understanding in at least three. (MM, SD, FI, CRM, TM, APO etc.)
  • The individual should also have work experience in the latest offerings of SAP (ABAP on Hana, S4 Hana, C4 Hana, UI/Fiori etc.)
  • The Individual should be able to define and implement integrated Process improvements within the team.
  • The Individual should be able to champion the SAP best practices within the team (Code Review, DDIC & Change Control) and work on stewardship roles for the monitoring and implementation on the best practices.
  • Consistently deliver on their own commitments while working with a single business group or user.
  • Understand at least a single business process and start to demonstrate the ability to resolve issues on their own or with minimal assistance.
  • Apply SAP technical standards in their own project work. Proactively ask questions when necessary.
  • Approachable and have established a network within their own workgroups. Open to feedback, coaching and mentoring.
  • Actively look for broader IS initiatives to participate in, which help them, connect with others outside of their own work group.
  • Continue to build and strengthen communication skills written, oral and presentation. Focus on communication deliverables within their own work groups or single business groups (or users).
  • Express continued interest in learning about the IS organization. Start to identify future work opportunities and market themselves.
  • Skill proficiency expectations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 4 years of SAP Development experience required
  • Preferred years of experience 5 – 7 years
