Job Summary

The Material Program Manager (MPM) is the direct link between Raytheon’s internal program management team and its strategic supply base. The MPM is the focal supply chain representative for internal stakeholders and supply chain leadership. In this role, you will interface directly with and coordinate efforts between critical suppliers, internal procurement teams & other functional areas, and the supply chain & program management organizations. You will be directly responsible for program and customer material availability, and you will be a part of a team of MPMs jointly supporting the same cause. Without you, the Material Program Manager, Raytheon’s internal and external customers will fail to meet their mission critical production requirements.

Within Raytheon’s business unit portfolio resides the Naval Power & Ship Systems Integration and Sustainment (SSI&S) organizations. Our programs produce and sustain Naval radars and other ship systems. This MPM position will be supporting the Aegis Program Depot located in Chesapeake, VA, as well as the Dual Band Radar (DBR) Program located in Andover, MA, The position can be located onsite in Chesapeake, Virginia; as well as, Andover, Tewksbury, or Marlborough, Massachusetts.

This position does NOT offer a relocation package.

What You Will Do

  • Strategize, coordinate, and align supply chain efforts with acquisitions team to ensure timely PO placement and effective supplier management
  • Monitor key performance indicators to maintain program health and supplier performance
    • Aging purchase requisitions
    • Past due purchase orders
    • Supplier on time delivery
  • Weekly and routine reporting (Line of balance, ZCMR, MRP metrics, etc.)
  • Execute required forms for procurement activities (request for material, request for change, sole source justification, etc.)
  • Expedite critical material availability to support program and operations production schedule through line of balance tracking
  • Provide proposal support, lead customer proposal efforts on behalf of the Supply Chain Team
  • Improvise day to day to solve program critical ad hoc problems
  • Take direction from MPM and program leads to proactively prevent & solve material constraints and procurement delays

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, Supply Chain, or similar concentration and 2 years of experience in a supply chain management, material program management, procurement, subcontracts, or other similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, especially excel (VLOOKUP, pivots, etc.)

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Master’s degree in business, management, finance, supply chain, or similar concentration
  • Experience with MRP / SAP / KINAXIS
  • A team oriented and self-starter attitude
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Customer service focused
  • The ability to obtain MPM level 4 and EVMS certifications with 1 year of hire

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
