Position: Revenue Cycle Analyst

Location: Fully Remote (Must reside in San Antonio, TX)

Openings: 1

Pay Range: $24–$27/hour (up to $27 for standout candidates)

Work Hours: Flexible start between 7–9 AM, standard 8-hour shift

Position Overview:

This Revenue Cycle Analyst role supports both collections and revenue integrity functions. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in outpatient revenue cycle operations, is comfortable analyzing high-volume data, and can communicate effectively with leadership. This is a remote role; however, candidates must be local to San Antonio in case future on-site work is required.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and monitor adjustments across all departments
  • Review high-dollar write-offs and escalate based on approval thresholds
  • Track and categorize adjustment trends using spreadsheets (currently 1,000+ records)
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to department leads and executive leadership
  • Work on major audit and data projects when trends or issues are flagged
  • Combine data for monthly review presentations
  • Identify revenue leakage and provide actionable insights
  • Review contracts, fee schedules, and reimbursement issues
  • Collaborate with collectors and department managers on payment discrepancies
  • Support ongoing improvement efforts for processes and reporting

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in outpatient collections or revenue cycle analysis
  • Understanding of payer contracts, fee schedules, and claim adjustment workflows
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (filters, categorization, report formatting)
  • Analytical mindset and ability to interpret large datasets
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritize tasks
  • Comfortable with monthly presentations and cross-functional collaboration

  • Training: Two weeks of hands-on onboarding with team leads
  • Remote Setup: Candidates must have a quiet, secure, HIPAA-compliant workspace
  • Time Off: No time off permitted during the first 90 days of training
