Job Description:

Job Summary: The Manager, Clinical Value Analysis is responsible for leading the clinical value analysis process across the network to ensure the acquisition and utilization of high-quality, cost-effective medical products, devices, and services. This position collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to evaluate new and existing products, ensuring alignment with clinical efficacy, patient outcomes, and financial stewardship. The Manager will facilitate evidence-based decision-making and support supply chain initiatives that optimize cost savings while maintaining clinical integrity.

Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:

  1. Leads the clinical value analysis process to assess medical products, devices, and services for quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  2. Facilitates interdisciplinary committees, ensuring stakeholder engagement in product selection and utilization strategies.
  3. Collaborates with clinical and supply chain leaders to drive standardization and utilization efforts that enhance patient care and financial sustainability.
  4. Conducts and analyzes clinical trials, evidence-based research, and benchmarking to support product evaluations.
  5. Develops and implements policies and procedures related to product selection and utilization.
  6. Monitors and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for cost savings, product utilization, and clinical outcomes.
  7. Partners with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing and contract terms that align with system goals.
  8. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, hospital policies, and industry best practices.
  9. Provides education and training to clinical staff regarding product changes, cost-saving initiatives, and process improvements.
  10. Manages team members to include disciplining, coaching, counseling, preparing and administering departmental performance evaluations. Collaborates with department leadership in the hiring and/or terminations, and training, etc. for staff.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical value analysis, supply chain management, or a related healthcare role to include experience leading interdisciplinary teams and managing large-scale projects.
  • Must have a current licensure in one of the following: Current RN licensure by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas or proof of reciprocity of licensure between the State of Texas and another state; or Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care and Licensure by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • Certified Value Analysis Healthcare Professional (CVAHP).
  • Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP).
