The Open Systems Solutions (OSS) business area is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Trusted Mission Payloads Enduring Platforms (TMP-E) Finance Team as the Principal Program Cost and Schedule Lead. This position requires a proactive, independent, and analytical leader. This role will interact with TMP-E Program Teams and TMP-E LT weekly and will partner with these teams to drive TMP-E results. This position reports directly to the TMP-E Business Manager. This position will play a dual role, Program execution and FP&A responsibilities for the TMP-E Production Product area.

This is a challenging position that provides exposure to TMP-E Leadership and OSS Leadership. This role will serve as a strategic business partner and require a close relationship with the TMP-E Business Manager and Senior Program Manager as well as ability to work across all functions. The applicant will also need the ability to build strong cross functional partnerships as well as good working relationships with the program analysts, program managers and business area leads to ensure a strong understanding of the strategy and programs. The candidate will collaborate to ensure the successful execution of quarterly EACs, monthly Operating Reviews, as well as AOP forecasting and maintenance.

What You Will Do:

  • Annual Operating Plan Development and 5-Year strategic planning
  • Forecasting planning and reporting – Monthly
  • Balance sheet – work with team on unbilled and quarterly reporting
  • Capital and Inventory ARs and FIA/CFRs – assist team with write ups and participate in approval meetings. After approval track and report monthly
  • Participate in Program EAC reviews
  • Continuously look for improvements to processes and forecasting accuracy
  • Ad hoc requests for the business area
  • Perform risk and opportunity analysis to inform EACs
  • Develop and update project cash flow reports.
  • Work in a fast-paced changing environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet critical deadlines
  • Work with multiple levels of financial, engineering, supply chain and program management

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Extensive experience in conducting detailed cost analysis, including identifying cost drivers, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing EVMS, and the ability to calculate and interpret CPI, SPI, TCPI, and other EVM metrics.
  • Strong understanding of performance measurement baselines (PMB), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and control accounts.
  • Expertise in developing, analyzing, and justifying realistic and robust EACs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, financial modeling).
  • Experience in PRISM, SAP/APEX, Analysis for Office, RPlan
  • Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, and knowledge of cost accounting principles and methodologies.
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

  • EVMS Certified
  • Experience or exposure to performing cost control and analysis functions in a U.S. Government, multi-CLIN contracting environment
  • Experience in DoD and/or Aerospace

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
