You will be the Software Configuration Management specialist for the JASSM FMS DIS Phase 1 effort. Our team is responsible for ensuring the program meets its schedules and contractual delivery requirements by implementing software configuration management, configuration status accounting, and data management.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Software Configuration Management specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing proposed hardware and software changes to determine their effect on the overall product and system. You will play a critical role in supporting development contracts and ensuring compliance with configuration management policies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and executing all Software Configuration Management activities
  • Coordinating modification records and establishing change orders
  • Preparing reports on the effect of changes on the overall product
  • Reviewing and analyzing released engineering change data
  • Designing, developing, automating, and maintaining productivity tools using programming languages
  • Interfacing with cross-functional leads, engineers, and other teams to achieve program objectives
  • Performing configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires a Final Secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance with current 5-year investigation.
  • Experience in chairing Software Engineering Boards.
  • Experience in document release and CDRLs/SDRLs processing.
  • Familiarity with markings, formatting and handling of documentation.
  • Possess good computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office software and other software applications.
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Bachelors or Master's Degree from an accredited university (preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Computer Information Technology degree or related discipline).
  • Must have 2 years of professional experience (with Master’s Degree) OR at least 3 years of experience with Bachelor's Degree.
  • Hands on experience working with Excel and databases for data entry, tracking and reporting information.

Desired Skills:

  • Develops solutions to assigned technical problems of limited scope which require ingenuity and innovation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across diverse technical and business personnel.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Git, GitLab/GitHub, etc.).
  • Experience with configuration status accounting and tools (SAP, AMS, etc.).

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
