Job Description:

Job Summary: The Executive Director of Supply Chain Operations is responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end supply chain operations for JPS Health Network. This includes the receiving, storage, distribution, logistics, inventory management, transportation, and linen management. The Executive Director will ensure the efficient, cost-effective, and reliable delivery of supplies and equipment across all facilities within the network while aligning with clinical and operational goals to support excellent patient care.

Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:

  1. Provides strategic leadership for supply chain operation across all hospitals, clinics, and ancillary services.
  2. Develops and implements supply chain strategies, policies, and procedures that support clinical needs and improve productivity and cost efficiency.
  3. Manages distribution and logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of medical supplies and equipment.
  4. Implements best practices to maintain optimal inventory levels, reduce waste, and ensure the timely availability of critical supplies.
  5. Develops and manages operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective controls and supply chain operations.
  6. Ensures all operational processes comply with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
  7. Leverages supply chain technologies, such as ERP systems and automated inventory management solutions, to streamline operations.
  8. Partners with healthcare providers to understand supply needs, improve service levels, and enhance patient care outcomes.
  9. Leads and develops a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  10. Oversees the implementation of inventory forecasting models and analytics to ensure accurate supply chain planning.
  11. Works closely with clinical and operational teams to optimize the distribution of materials, ensuring timely delivery of critical supplies to support patient care needs and enhance workflow efficiency.
  12. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of supply chain operational processes, implementing corrective actions and improvements to drive cost savings, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  13. Implements data-driven decision-making using supply chain analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in materials management, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably in a healthcare setting to include experience with supply chain technologies, ERP systems, and automated inventory management tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Membership in AHRMM.
  • Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP).
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
