Position Description:
Develops and supports performance attribution calculation engines using FAME Time Series Database, Perl and Python data loaders, Java Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and Angular User interfaces. Develops and supports reports, data extraction processes, portfolio, reference, and market data loaders. Creates and sustains attribution analysis tool kits to assist with ad hoc reporting for quantitative analysts and senior investment management. Liaises with performance attribution business analysts in the design, development, and implementation of creative solutions to complex business problems. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing software applications for mutual fund accounting, pricing, portfolio reference, security reference, Index, Investment Performance, and Risk and Attribution, within a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing software applications for mutual fund accounting, pricing, portfolio reference, security reference, Index, Investment Performance, and Risk and Attribution, within a financial services environment.
