Department Description

Carlyle Global Credit’s Operations team focuses on all Operational activities across the Global Credit Platform, including investment capture, deal execution, investment funding, treasury management, and administrator oversight.

Position Summary

The Manager role will support our Private Credit business verticals, including Middle Market Direct Lending, Opportunistic Credit, Infrastructure Credit, and Asset Backed Finance. This role will primarily focus on the Direct Lending business assisting the Deal Team with all facets of the deal execution process. There will also be a high level of interaction with Portfolio Management, Finance, Tax, Legal, and other external parties to ensure private credit deals are properly handled from funding to exit. The Manager will work directly with other members of the Operations team to handle all daily operational functions.

Responsibilities

  • Actively facilitate the deal execution process for privately held assets, including wire processing for internal and external movements, FX hedging, KYC, bank account openings and other steps required in coordination with the Deal Team, internal and external counsel, Finance and Tax
  • Work closely with Deal Team, Portfolio Management and Finance to monitor the Direct Lending pipeline
  • Proactively assist with the management of cash and financing lines across all fund structures
  • Cash and wire management related to deal fundings for privately held assets, including the review of funds flows and legal documents
  • Work closely with Finance and Corporate Treasury to hedge foreign currency exposure
  • Facilitate trade capture in the Broadridge Sentry Order Management System
  • Oversee trade settlement process for all external facing trades and internal transfers across multiple asset classes
  • Escalation contact for cash and position reconciliations across all Direct Lending entities ensuring the timely resolution of breaks
  • Assist in strategic initiatives related to technology and process enhancements
  • Regular and ad-hoc reporting for various areas within the firm
  • Oversight and mentorship of junior team members

Qualifications

Education & Certificates

  • Bachelor’s Degree, required
  • Concentration in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline, preferred

Professional Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in Financial Services
  • Experience with public & private credit asset classes - middle market direct lending or other private credit experience a plus

Competencies & Attributes

  • Strong understanding of loan and credit facility documents, including credit agreements and amendments
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail oriented self-starter
  • Ability to work alone and in a team environment
  • Problem solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Strong work ethic, honesty and integrity, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks

Benefits/Compensation

The compensation range for this role is specific to New York City and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $135,000 to $155,000.

Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
