What Will You Be Doing?

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager based in Mexico City to act as the vital link between our product management team and a group of highly technical engineers. In this role, you will ensure clear communication and collaboration between teams, translating product requirements into actionable engineering tasks while managing project timelines and deliverables. Your ability to confidently engage with stakeholders, lead with initiative, and navigate technical conversations will be critical to driving successful outcomes and enhancing our product offerings and user experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between product managers and engineering teams to ensure alignment on project goals, requirements, and priorities.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets across multiple simultaneous initiatives.
  • Lead project kick-off meetings, status updates, and retrospectives to keep teams aligned and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify risks and roadblocks early, and proactively develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to executive stakeholders and adjusting plans as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to translate technical requirements into clear, executable tasks.
  • Champion agile best practices and drive continuous improvement within technical project teams.
  • Apply lessons learned from completed projects to optimize future workflows and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience & Education
    • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager or in a similar role, managing multiple technical projects in a dynamic environment
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Certifications
    • PMP (Project Management Professional), Lean Six Sigma, or Agile certification required
  • Technical Skills
    • Strong technical acumen; able to engage in conversations with engineers and understand complex systems
    • Proficiency with project management tools such as Monday.com, Jira, Trello, or Asana
  • Communication & Collaboration
    • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with sharp attention to detail
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders
    • Confident and engaging communicator who can proactively lead discussions, build strong relationships, and influence without authority
    • Comfortable reporting to executive stakeholders and tailoring communication to various audiences
  • Additional Qualifications
    • HR industry experience is a plus, but not required
    • Must currently reside in Mexico City
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish, or proficient in English at a C1 or C2 level (CEFR – Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)

This position can be located in the following area(s): Mexico City

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is 74,500 MXN to 95,000 MXN gross monthly.

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
