Job Overview

This part-time clerical position is part of a team that will be responsible for the accurate relabeling of library materials due to schools being renamed. The primary work will be to relabel books while maintaining organization. This position supports renaming efforts by applying labels and protective covers, and ensuring books and resources are properly shelved.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Applies labels, barcodes, and protective covers to books and other materials.
  • Maintains an organized system for book placement and shelving.
  • Follows established procedures for relabeling and handling materials.
  • Collaborates with library staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Conducts quality checks to verify correct labeling and placement.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

Previous experience in a library or similar environment preferred but not required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow labeling guidelines
  • Ability to lift and move books and materials as needed
