Job Summary
Under general direction, with a high level of autonomy, utilize extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to execute trades on behalf of institutional clients. Provide timely market and sector insights utilizing both fundamental and technical analysis. Works both independently and as part of a team on complex assignments that are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity with substantial latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute equity trades for institutional clients with a goal of achieving best execution
- Curate and disseminate market insights and trading strategies to clients
- Monitor market conditions and trends to make informed trading decisions
- Develop and maintain relationships with institutional clients
- Troubleshoots operational and administrative issues
- Comply with all existing security regulations
- Responsible for dynamic risk management
Knowledge of
- Advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of institutional trading & sales trading
- Financial markets, products, and electronic networks
- Fundamental and technical trading strategies and analysis
Skill in
- Building relationships, both internally and externally
- Operating standard trading software applications, including automated trading systems and proficiency with Bloomberg, Reuters and Microsoft Excel.
- Using technical/professional knowledge, interpersonal and sales skills to obtain customers’ commitment to ideas, services, or products.
Ability to
- Monitor and understand market conditions to make logical trading decisions
- Collaborate with research, sales and other trading teams to deliver market insights to clients
- Handle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner
- Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with critical deadlines in a fast paced, stressful work environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
- Communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing with internal and external clients and customers
Education/Previous Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field and a minimum of three (2) to five (5) years of trading experience, including coverage of US domestic institutions.
- OR ~
- Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
Licenses/Certifications
- SIE required provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied.
- FINRA Series 7, Series 55/57 and Series 63 Licenses. The ability to obtain other FINRA Licenses (as required) within three months of hire date.

Bachelor’s: Business Administration (Required), Bachelor’s: Economics (Required), Bachelor’s: Finance (Required)
Work Experience
General Experience - 6 to 10 years
Certifications
Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) - Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA)
Salary Range
$175,000.00-$250,000.00
