We are seeking a dynamic Healthcare IT Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of key technology initiatives across our clinical and operational landscape.

Location: Buffalo, NY (Hybrid Remote)

Duration: 6 Months, Part-Time

Duties:

  • Lead the full project lifecycle: initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, and close healthcare IT projects.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and budgets.
  • Manage cross-functional teams including clinicians, IT staff, operations leaders, and third-party vendors.
  • Oversee implementation of EHR enhancements, clinical application rollouts, integration initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, and compliance-related IT projects (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and change control processes.
  • Prepare and deliver status reports to executives, steering committees, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects adhere to internal PMO standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including end-user training and change management activities.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and document lessons learned.

Skills:

  • Strong project planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a complex, fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or ServiceNow.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of project management experience in a healthcare IT setting.
  • Experience with clinical systems (e.g., Epic), digital health tools, and healthcare interoperability.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (HIPAA, CMS, Joint Commission, etc.).

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile certification (SAFe, PMI-ACP).
  • ITIL or Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
