Carrier Invoicing Platform Product Manager

The Freight Management technology super pod is responsible for the Interface with carriers and management of carrier operations. Rates & Audit team is responsible for the platform that integrates with Freight audit service providers and internal tooling to manage audit operations for ¬$1B per annum of carrier invoices globally and is a critical part of the success of our growing and diverse carrier network.

Wayfair is in the midst of reimagining its current Freight Audit capabilities, focused on efficiency, and as a part of this role, you will play a key role in helping to define this path forward. This includes gaining a strong understanding of current processes, building empathy for users and their environment, working with stakeholders to define business outcomes, and challenging existing functionality and processes to drive improvements through technology.

What You’ll Do

  • Create robust infrastructure, tools and services for solving Wayfair’s invoicing related problems for tech savvy and not so tech saving carriers.
  • Lead and execute a six month to year long roadmap to build a scalable platform within the Wayfair ecosystem, with clean domain boundaries and communication protocols
  • You will own your roadmap and each product requirements document, measure performance, keep your pulse on the customer, anticipate bottlenecks, make tradeoffs, and take acceptable risks to maximize the benefit for our customer and business
  • Build and lead a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, analysts, and other internal partners to envision, build, and deliver experiences that impact hundreds of carriers and through them millions of consumers.
  • Lead your teams to deliver business impact by launching and iteratively optimizing products that improve our user experience in ways that lead to scalable, measurable gains in metrics that you will largely define

What You’ll Need

  • 4+ years of experience in an agile development environment, ideally with exposure to a relevant product area (eCommerce or B2C; Supply chain finance; SaaS platforms; API experience)
  • Bias for collaboration. You assume good intent, partner willingly, and ensure the voices of teammates and stakeholders are heard. You communicate openly and proactively, bringing others into your plans. You coordinate and modify as needed.
  • An ownership mentality. You proactively work to improve your product, its reliability, and plans for its future state. You take responsibility for outcomes, celebrating team wins and surfacing learning moments openly.
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience with hypothesis-driven learning and turning data into actionable insights
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to navigate an organization and generate new ideas and plans. The role requires interactions with internal and external partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience with building products in supply chain
  • Experience with supply chain finance / SAP
  • Knowledge of running scripts on Big query
  • EDI 210 experience
