Hannibal is a manufacturing facility of approximately 1000 employees serving the Meals & Baking Solutions (MBS) and Snacks Operating Units. Other beloved products we produce are Progresso, Old El Paso, Nature Valley and Betty Crocker. We operate in a dynamic business environment, with a rich history of performance and growth. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Hannibal Plant is seeking an Associate Operations Manager (internally called a Platform Manager) to provide manufacturing leadership to deliver a world-class operation. This role will have 6-8 direct reports and will have responsibility for providing direction and development of ~140 team members within operations. At Hannibal, we meet our folks where they are at. Therefore, the core schedule will be weekdays on dayshift, however, the selected individual must be willing to be flexible as business needs.
The leader will be responsible for the OEP (Old El Paso) Shells platform which is undergoing a $58 million dollar expansion and 35 new jobs to add hard shell taco capacity. This platform is a critical growth accelerator for General Mills.
The Associate Operations Manager sets the strategy for our operating department by providing leadership for the Platform Team and by directly managing our Operations Supervisors and the Platform Project Leader. They collaborate with and provide direction for our full team, including the System Engineers, Quality Engineers, Maintenance Supervisors , and Maintenance Planners to deliver platform results. They drive sustainable performance improvement through people and process and creating an environment where learning is meaningful for the business and the employees (connected to results, driving out losses, helping build the employee’s capability). The Platform Manager sets and executes the operational plan, and they are responsible for the Run and Improve results for our whole Platform Team. Performance metrics include ownership of Human Safety, Food Safety, Quality, System Utilization, Waste Reduction and Cost Savings, Engagement, Retention, and Schedule Attainment.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $93700.00 - $140700.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
