Role Overview: We are seeking a customer-focused proposition leader to head the Proposition function across GIH and lead the Insight function for the International Health (IH) business. Reporting to the CEO for GIH, the Head of Propositions and Insight will be responsible for leading product management, proposition development, and market insights for GIH, as well as spearheading the research and insight team for IH. This role will serve as the fulcrum of customer and market insights, acting as the voice of the customer, ensuring GIH is market-aware and leveraging our competitive position.

The role will ensure that GIH has a profitable global product and proposition portfolio and a clear, differentiated market position. This involves developing segment-specific propositions using customer and market insights to drive adoption within our target segments. A strong understanding of the Health Insurance market and experience in financially regulated markets, as well as working with cross-functional teams in multinational environments, is crucial.

Responsibilities:

• Product Portfolio Management: Develop a deep commercial and customer understanding of the GIH portfolio. Optimize the portfolio to meet customer needs while defining and implementing commercial levers to maintain its optimal health.
• Proposition Development and Execution: Identify opportunities for profitable propositions in collaboration with marketing, strategy, and sales teams. Define propositions rigorously, articulating target segments, USPs, pricing, position, product, service, and sales channels.
• Insight: Conduct robust consumer, competitor, and customer insights to support GIH in meeting customer needs, reinforcing points of differentiation, and maintaining market positioning. Ensure an 'always-on' approach to respond to changing market dynamics.
• IH Insight: Lead global initiatives around NPS and global competitor trends, supporting local business lines in their insight activities.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team aligned with Cigna’s culture and values. Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, accountability, and teamwork.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics and market insights to inform distribution strategies, track performance metrics, and make informed decisions to drive growth.
• Compliance: Ensure all distribution activities comply with local market and Cigna standards with high levels of personal integrity.

Education/Experience & Other Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of industry and leadership experience.
• Proven experience in a regional or global leadership role.
• Experience in leading and influencing in a matrixed environment is critical.
