Job Description

The Supervisor reports to the Area Manager. This position provides leadership and guidance to the hourly work force.

As Area Supervisor you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Leading the production area to manufacture products to meet quality and delivery schedule requirements in a safe, environmentally compliant manner.
  • Comply with all expectations given by the department Manager
  • Ensure that the work area is maintained in a safe and clean manner.
  • Responsible for reporting Safety and Environmental incidents immediately after they occur.
  • Directing shift work activities of operations personnel to achieve production requirements.
  • Direct operation/troubleshoot various machining operations within the area.
  • Communicate with the other Supervisors through face to face and email communications.
  • Communicate daily shift meetings on safety, environmental, quality and production issues to wage operators.
  • Write service requests and follow up with Maintenance personnel to completion.
  • Ensure that all vacations and call-ins are written down and passed along to the other staff members and area admin.
  • Ensure the next shift is properly manned to support production requirements.
  • Start up, monitor and shut down equipment as required.
  • Monitor inventory and make decisions to support production needs.
  • Verify Time card entries are correct in KRONOS.
  • Work with Manager on personnel-disciplinary issues.
  • Lead by example, be a role model for your group and the area.

The Rocket Supervisor reports to the Rocket Area Manager. This position provides leadership and guidance to the hourly work force.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Must have a minimum of 2 years as a Supervisor of production/manufacturing experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education, including personnel supervisory responsibilities. A thorough knowledge of a variety of production support activities including manufacturing process flow, quality, environmental.

Must be able to work straight or rotating shifts to include straight night shift.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Experience in manufacturing processes. Previous experience with MAXIMO, Kronos, production scheduling and familiarity with moving, handling of Materials and processing energetic materials. Experience in Union environment.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $60076 - $102130

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
