Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for an HR professional to play a key role in supporting HR operations.

The Senior Human Resources Generalist partners closely with plant leadership to implement HR strategies that align with business goals, enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance with labor laws and safety regulations. This role also provides mentorship to junior HR staff and serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers across the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides Human Resources support for the Sterling Operations and Manufacturing teams serving as a link between management and employees.
  • Serves as a business partner with leadership teams to develop and execute initiatives that drive business and organizational strategies.
  • Facilitates the process between employees and management to discuss and resolve performance and conduct issues.
  • Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
  • Recruits for hourly manufacturing and operations support positions a strategic approach to sourcing candidates that meet the business needs and fit with the Wahl culture.
  • Understands position requirements, develops position profiles and job postings that are informative and aligned with our employer brand.
  • Utilizes knowledge of positions within the Company to support the job leveling and compensation analysis process.
  • Promote a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain HRIS records and generate reports for headcount, turnover, and other key metrics.
  • Collaborate with EHS teams to support safety initiatives and compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior HR team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing HR function.
  • Participates and/or leads projects for human resources.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or business field preferred or relevant experience required.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and safety regulations.
  • An appreciation and respect for the diversity of all individuals in the workplace along with modeling the Company's values of integrity, teamwork, innovation and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions that are in alignment with the overall company strategy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Must be proactive in nature with strong analytical and follow-up skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
