Ergon Inc. is seeking a full-time Manager of Design Services to join our Communications team. The Manager of Design Services oversees art direction, development, and production of collateral materials and online assets for Ergon companies. He or she works with the communications team to develop a creative strategy that will effectively convey a consistent Ergon brand experience across all media. The Manager of Design Services guides Ergon projects from concept to completion, encompassing photography, video, collateral materials, social media assets, trade shows, web and interactive design, and brand standards. He or she also guides and mentors the work and development of others on the design team.

Education and Experience Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be able to translate business objectives into design solutions while maintaining a high level of quality. They will have a minimum of five years' experience in graphic design for an agency, communications/creative department, freelance clients or publications.

• BA/BFA/MA in Art, Design, or related discipline
• Familiarity with design trends, platforms, and best practices
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (lnDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
• Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in digital/social media
• An understanding of web design & planning, wireframe design and SEO
• Practices superior time management
• Makes evident good technical understanding and exhibits a willingness to pick up new tools quickly.
• Exhibits assertiveness as well as strong communication and presentation

Key Role/ Duties:

• Work with content development and project management teams to understand client objectives, target audience, and creative briefs and deliver a consistent brand experience across multiple touchpoints and mediums.
• Partner with product and marketing stakeholders to develop and evolve our visual brand identity and direction.
• Manage any external design agency relationships, keeping projects on track with clearly defined priorities, expectations, and timelines.
• Serve as a leader at Ergon, setting professional standards for the team and inspiring and leading by example.
• Drive positive internal awareness of design trends, brand standards, and processes through a culture of open collaboration, accessibility, and knowledge sharing.
• Consistently deliver high-quality design deliverables for stakeholders across the organization, on time.
• Oversee the creation of creative content for client social channels, including concept, as well as managing photo and video shoots.
• Lead inspiring creative presentations and internal reviews.
• Communicate a clear vision for the brand's continued evolution. It is essential to collaborate with external creative agency partners to create and execute the overall company vision.
• Work closely with the Director of Creative Strategy to evolve creative brand projects. Able to receive and apply feedback toward the design solution.
• Partner with key stakeholders to set the strategy of how design brings the brand to life and use this strategy to guide the priorities and output of your team.
• Work closely with Product and Marketing teams to leverage insights from market research and data to develop strategic creative solutions.
