Compensation: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 annual salary (US Dollars)

Position Summary:

As the on-site Facility Manager for the Los Angeles region, you will be responsible for the seamless operation and maintenance of the clients innovative facilities, including vehicle depots, maintenance hubs, and office spaces. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, efficient, and pristine environment that supports our 24/7 autonomous vehicle operations. This hands-on role requires a proactive and resourceful individual with a strong background in facilities management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facility Operations & Maintenance: Oversee the day-to-day operations of all cleint facilities in the Los Angeles area. This includes managing and scheduling preventative and reactive maintenance for all building systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire & life safety.
  • EV Charging Infrastructure: Ability to understand and liaise with charging program team to ensure charger uptime and maintenance of our critical electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, ensuring fleet operational readiness
  • Vendor & Contractor Management: Source, negotiate with, and manage relationships with a variety of vendors and contractors for services including janitorial, landscaping, security, waste management, and specialized technical repairs.
  • Health, Safety & Security: Champion a culture of safety by ensuring all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, etc.). Implement and oversee emergency response plans and physical security protocols to safeguard our team members and assets.
  • Budget & Financial Management: Develop and manage the facilities budget, including forecasting expenses, tracking costs, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  • Project Management: Plan and execute facility-related projects, such as office reconfigurations, equipment installations, and site improvements, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with local operations teams, engineering, vendors, and Global Places and Services (GPS) to understand their needs and ensure the facilities effectively support the clients mission.
  • Inspections & Reporting: Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure our high standards are met. Prepare and present reports on facility operations, maintenance activities, and key performance indicators. CMMS experience required.
  • Problem Solving: Act as the first point of contact for any facility-related issues, demonstrating a sense of urgency and a commitment to resolving problems quickly and effectively to minimize disruption to our operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a hands-on facilities management role, preferably within a fast-paced, high-tech, or industrial environment.
  • Proven experience managing building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and contractors effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Familiarity with the Los Angeles commercial real estate and contractor market.
  • Experience working in a company with a strong culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • A proactive and "roll-up-your-sleeves" mentality
