JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Strategy will report to the Sr. Director of Finance & Strategy. They will work cross-functionally across the organization to lead and execute strategic analytics to identify insights and track the business performance. This role involves assisting in the preparation of key presentations such as the annual operating plan & board updates, as well as project management of key initiatives. This role will oversee the marketing analysis and supply chain functions, ensuring profitable growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Lead cross-functional project management for strategic initiatives:
    • Drive success through clear objectives and measurable outcomes, ensuring alignment with long-term goals
    • Develop frameworks to guide project approach and timelines, enabling effective decision-making
    • Develop business case for key projects and prioritize them
  • Analyze market trends and competitor data:
    • Identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions to enhance operational efficiency
    • Stay up to date on emerging trends in marketing analytics
    • Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leaders, providing insights and recommendations on key issues
  • Drive internal and external alignment around strategy:
    • Play key role in assessing, prioritizing, and communicating strategic opportunities within the Habit Executive Team (ET), and with Yum! Brands Team across functions to develop ideas into robust business plans and execution plans
    • Work with the executive leadership team to build the annual operating plan, board decks, and corresponding Yum alignment meetings.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies:
    • Develop business objectives and drive profitability through short-term and mid-term financial strategies.
    • Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to inform strategic planning.
  • Lead Char Council (senior-level leadership group at Habit) on strategic projects and confirm adequate progress being made by teams on short to mid-term business objectives - break down barriers as necessary, liaise between council and ET.
  • Engage with outside consultants and/or external data sources as necessary to help frame and contextualize the brand challenges and opportunities
  • Lead Supply Chain Risk Management
    • Ensure that scalable systems are in place to support future growth. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Develop Pricing Strategy and process in partnership with external pricing vendor & internal cross functional team. Ensure that pricing strategies are aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Motivate and grow the team to become the next generation of leaders
    • Responsible for managing 2 Associate Managers and working with other Analysts across the team

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • BA required, MBA a plus.
    • Up to 4 weeks of vacation per year, plus additional sick days
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in management consulting or corporate strategy with a focus on storytelling, advanced analytics, and thought leadership
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to explain accounting requirements in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and developing trust-based relationships within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to balance strategic projects and initiatives with tactical day-to-day reporting and management cadence
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior management teams and partner effectively with a range of cross-functional groups
  • Superior analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to synthesize data from a variety of sources and frame business issues in a straightforward manner

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $­­160,000 to $188,800 annually + bonus eligibility and stock-based options is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
