Duties and responsibilities:

You will be part of the Alpha Conversion Automation Team and will lead the planning and execution of automation initiatives in support of Alpha E2E and middle office recordkeeping conversion activities and their respective client programs.

The Alpha Conversion Automation team provides automation solutions to aid in the execution of critical migration, conversion & cutover activities necessary to bring new clients on to the State Street Alpha platform. The team aims to improve all end-to-end runbook activities and accelerate key aspects of the Alpha Implementation Framework. The Alpha Conversion Automation Lead will oversee the Implementation Lifecycle from discovery and planning, design, development, testing, deployment, training and post-implementation support.

The Alpha Conversion Automation Lead will build off of foundational capabilities including core reconciliations and data quality measures, platform functionality, and middle-office data analytics in order to deliver on improved process efficiencies and faster cycle times. The State Street Integrated Data Control (SS IDC) tool is the core platform that include the following principles: self-service allowing business user enabled configuration and services, improved client data collection, transformation and distribution to downstream systems, a robust data control framework, event workflow to support communication between common applications, and exception processing, the creation and maintenance of a reusable set of conditional logic to support issue escalation across domains.

Specific duties include:

  • Lead business analysis, workflow design, data analysis, requirement gathering for transformation and automation solutions
  • Act as Conversion Automation Workstream Lead and be responsible for project management, client executive updates and presentations;
  • Coordinates and drives the deliverables of conversion automation tools and testing in order to meet milestones;
  • Drives the data conversion development lifecycle and methodology including requirements analysis, solution design, client acceptance, timeline creation, implementation, unit testing, deployment tools, and maintenance;
  • Develop project plans, specifying goals, risks, contingency plans, etc. Identify and schedule project deliverables and milestones;
  • Manage testing team and testing software solutions;
  • Manage various stages of the on-boarding lifecycle (solution design, integration and testing, implementation and BAU hand over);
  • Serves as a subject matter expert speaking to details as required while managing multiple processes;

Education and experience requirement(s):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Management or related field; plus
  • 10 years of relevant financial industry experience

Special skills, knowledge, or certification and/or licensure required for position (not preferred):

  • Demonstrated high Level knowledge or experience in Capital markets including Middle Office, Securities, Bank Loans, IBOR / ABOR, Transaction Mgmt. System knowledge of RKS, CRIMS, Eagle, Eagle Star, PAM, Portia, WSO or other is preferred
  • UIPath or similar RPA experience a plus;
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills with ability to effectively run meetings and collaborate across teams and functions;
  • Demonstrated high level of skill in team management, employee development and mentoring;
  • Proven ability to work in a high paced environment, be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize, and prioritize work;
  • Strong analytical, technical and business solution design skills;
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously;
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, decision making and relationship management skills;
  • Solid ability to proactively identify potential issues and drive resolution;
  • Experience owning initiatives and projects related to client implementations;
  • Proven intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Access skills, as well as Microsoft Project, JIRA or other project management software experience; and
  • Solid understanding of Data Warehouses and Databases including SQL.

Salary Range:

$130,000 - $205,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
