A Day in the Life

The Event and Training Coordinator is responsible for coordination of the event logistics related to Healthcare Professional (HCP) training and education within Medtronic. Key to the role is to have excellent planning and sourcing skills to execute the events in a timely manner and with the best customer experience from an event management perspective.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Responsible for a full review of submitted event requests from a requirement and compliance perspective
  • Organize and manage full event logistics for the HCP training and educational events - venue, accommodation, travel, ground transportation arrangements, etc.
  • Actively communicate and act as the main point of contact for the Event Management team regarding logistic requirements and all changes
  • Create and maintain the event website and ensure that correct information is used and published
  • Responsible for payments to vendors and verifying that all payments are correctly Recorded and paid on time
  • Accountable for handling urgent requests and last-minute changes before and during the event and Resolve any payment-related queries
  • Enter the event budget in the system and allocate it to the correct suppliers, categories and participants

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple and changing priorities while maintaining strong focus on execution and results
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in English and any other languages if required for the given market
  • Advanced knowledge MS Office
  • Excellent customer focus
  • High school diploma
  • At least 1.5 years' work experience in event management, travel coordination or customer service
